I joined the forum because I saw this thread on Google.
Rick Ross' line actually makes 100% perfect sense, which surprised me.
"The square root of a kilo is me nigga
Do the math, I'm a muthafuckin' G nigga"
One kilogram = 1000 grams.
The Square root of 1000 grams is 31.6227766
Now the part where he converts it to money is based purely off street prices, which is why many may find it difficult to understand what he means. Not only do you have to know street prices, but the prices in Miami may be different than somewhere else.
I am familiar with South Florida, and
1 Ounce of said product would usually go for $800-$900.
1 Ounce = 28 grams.
Now let's say I set it at $850, that would mean each gram is worth $30.3571429
Multiply $30.3571429, the approx price of each gram in Miami by $31.6227766, the square root of a Kilo, and you get
$959.977148, or $960
So, with my APPROXIMATION of what an ounce goes for, Rick Ross was only $40 off. I guess his ounces are more in the $900 area.
