I see nothing wrong. It's publicity. It's hype. Read between the lines, people.

Well, the thing with Kendrick is that everybody adores the shit out of him. Section.80 was one dope ass project and most of his tracks are just plain great. He isn't being underrated either, he's being called one of the best and 'the new pac' and whatnot ALL the time. It isn't that strange that he might get cocky.

If it were anybody else, or somebody like 50... then I'd automatically print off the statement and wipe my ass with it, not even needing to hear the album...

But Kendrick has got the magic spark that I've only seen in a handful of rappers ever...

I'm talking... Em / Pac fire and... presence. He's got that kind of magic to his passion and the way he delivers it, I can feel / hear it. And I'm not even a big Kendrick fan and haven't even heard much of his stuff, but the stuff I have heard just makes me instantly aware that he's gifted and has the potential to create very special material.

Not that I'm thinking his statement is likely to me or that it will be the best album in 20 years, but I do believe that he believes that. And all that matters when making a statement like that is 'does the person saying it truly believe it', if they do: good shit. As that means he's put his all into his art and created something he feels is truly amazing, and that's what I'm always wishing for.

Nobody seems to do that now, everybody is just 'putting things out', it's almost like a job or routine. Where as Lamar seems to have that desire when he speaks about hip-hop and art, and from what I've heard, to... want to create something unique and overwhelming.

So, I seriously fucking doubt that to me it will be the best album in 20 years, but I do believe it will probably be fantastic, and I can't wait to hear what he's done.
