And tell me about how Portugal did anything? They didn't have ANY good chance. Did Spain? Not really, but better than Portugal. Yet, I wouldn't say Spain deserved it (if we're looking at only the 90 minutes). Neither did. If Portugal scored, I wouldn't say "Undeserved". I would accept it. Same thing if it went the other way.

But in the extra-halfs Spain was a lot better than Portugal, had several good chances. Remember that Iniesta one? So yeah... during extratimes, Spain definitely would deserve a win.

No need to mention extra time. This game was such a snore. After extra time, Spain definitely deserved it more so, but this game was just too boring for me to continue talking about it.

I think everyone expects Spain to play like the fucking Harlem Globetrotters and be demolishing teams 5-0 every match. Portugal didn't have one single shot on target during the whole match, yet people are still whining about Spain going through and saying they didn't deserve it. Pure bitterness.

They were definitely the better side for the first 45 and made Spain look vulnerable. But overall, I don't see how any team who fails to test the keeper during 120 minutes of football deserve to win the match. Spain were poor for most of the 90 minutes but they still came the closest to scoring out of the two sides and played much better in extra time. Portugal seemed to be happy for it to go to penalties.

I am angry at him all the time, so it feels weird to support him on Spain

I was so nervous when he stepped up to take the penalty. Everyone had the CL semi-final in mind, so did I... and bam, he plays it safe and chips it instead of shooting, so the ball wouldn't go outside of the goal.

No doubt. I was afraid Portugal might take it after 1st half was over. I wouldn't have complained if they did. Fortunately they didn't have shots on target the whole match, and in the extrahalfs Spain showed that they deserved it.
