It doesn't take a genius to figure out that he was going to get banned eventually. The mod team actually let him slide on a lot prior to this.

I do think there should be an expiration date for points, or something of that nature, prior to a perma ban.

I think this has been brought up before though...

The thing you have to remember though, is that you don't just rack up that many points without being a bad member for quite a while. He reformed? Ok, for the sake of argument, we could say he did. But was this the result of natural maturity, or avoidance of the perma ban that was one fuck up away?

Take away the permanence of the points, you may take away some of their power.

I agree, he was a member of value, but unfortunately, he was too full of himself to follow the rules enough to justify being easy on him anymore.

Or if he posts new stuff that we were all waiting/looking for, we take off one point.

I'm only saying this because even in jails, they shorten your stay if you straighten up and whatnot...

about the ban of freespeech... I mean we have to respect the rules equally with everybody and we were actually letting him slide a lot. And I think its unfair that other members do get points for advertising, insanely continuos double posting, trolling, arguing etc... and they all get warnings, except freespeech. it was only right for Sajn to give him that last drop. So like all the mods, I stand by the decision

Also, it could be worked to counter some of Geno and Menzo's point's. So there. The four month plan, or a specific time period that if your good for so long, you lose a point, would be the best idea.
