Likewise. I was a little surprised when I heard this announcement yesterday but it won't change my opinion on the guy. He's a good news reporter and that's all that matters to me, the news, not his sexuality.

This has been well known in the media for years lol. I don't think he's ever said on air that he's gay but everyone has already known, kind of an unkept secret I suppose. Eg. he was on a list for being one of the most powerful homosexuals in the US in Out magazine in 2007. It's good he announced it for himself though.

Actually it is new, he only officially came out of the closet and said "I'm gay" yesterday. So as far as official confirmation from him, it is new.
