Childish Gambino dissing Future?

So for those of you who bump Donald Glover... I'm sure you got his new mixtape "Royalty" and I can't help but think he takes a couple subliminal shots at XXL Freshman member Future...

Listen to Gambino's verse on "Black Faces"... when he says "Look to the Future, these dudes so last week"

The way he emphasizes the word "future" made my ears perk up. However that's not the only thing.

On the song "Silk Pillow" he says "Living for the present, n*ggas fuck futures".

And then of course he mentions Future on "We Ain't Them" which is a song about being different then the rest... basically saying that he isn't any of them typical rappers.

Childish raps "Waka Jeezy & Future got the streets locked down, copy cats making sure TIP keeps that crown"

Why the random hate on Future though? I think Gambino is sitting back, watching the cypher for XXL Freshmen thinking "how the fuck did this guy get on and I didn't??" I know I would be frustrated too after being nominated and losing out to Future...

Agreed. I mean I would take it as a big slap in the face to see Future rapping some shitty ass verse on that Cypher and getting all that exposure. When we all know Childish would have went in on that cypher and deserved a place as a freshmen more than most of the people on that

I never really listened to CG, heard like half of the tracks on Royalty though. The line on Black Faces could be a little jab at him, but I don't think the one in Silk Pillow was directed at him. :y:
