Awesome, let us know how it is.

I'd download it, but I'm on my phone. I'm going to buy it on the 10th, but I really want it sooner. Maybe tomorrow...

This could shape up to be one of Aes' best.

So, has anyone picked the album up yet?

I got a digital copy, and was surprised at how well this stands up to the rest of his catalogue. He's gotten better at...well, everything. This is entirely produced by him, with no guest verses, and only one guest hook, eerily performed by Kimya Dawson. It's also his most personal, most accessible, and maybe even his darkest record yet. I'd say it's his best to date, myself.

This album exemplifies everything that makes Aesop one of the best and most original. It's also his most artistic, well rounded effort.

Buy. This. Album.

Yeah, I picked this up yesterday and listened to it one time through.. Very strongly crafted and obviously well thought out album. He's a lyrical monster on this, the beats are top notch, and you can actually partially understand his similies and metaphors, unlike some of his past work. I really really like it. Just wish it didn't take this long.. and it's hard to say if we'll ever get another solo album by Aesop.

I agree, it's much more clear in it's abstract nature, if that makes any sense.

All without sacrificing the rhyming. I was afraid that him handling all of the production would result in another Bazooka Tooth type of album, with dense production and rhymes straight from an acid trip. Instead, we have a clear and concise set of themes and pleasing beats that still showcase the original nature of the artist that made and wrote to them.

Skelethon is Aesop at his best, to me. It's not often that an artist just gets better with age, especially when they've been in the field for like 15 years.
