Hey, recently I've been wondering how comes that Yelawolf is signed to Shady Records which is located at New York City even though he lives in Alambama.
And it's not just him, many artists doesn't live where their label at.
So my question is basically how it works? How can they work together without living in the same country?

But if the studio is at NYC, how can they still record professionally without being at the studio itself?

They also might have more than one studio I guess? Anyhow I'm not so sure about the flights because making an album could take a loooot of time, what will he just move to NYC for a month living in an hotel which costs tons of money?
