ipod help

so got a 2nd generation and got my friends 4th generation.

want to clear everything off his and get my music on it. then clear my old on.
how do i hook it up to do that?

when i plug in his it doesnt read it. it says unknown hardware is attached but doesnt pop with itunes asking if i want to switch libraries which is what i thought it did.

ive tried deauthorizing my ipod, then hooking is up and nothing.

i dont want to delete itunes because it wouldnt switch automatically. i have most of the songs on my comp but would be a long process.

any help?

You can't transfer songs from one iPod to another... Unless you use a software designed for that.

Yeah, iTunes won't let you do that. Try http://www.getsharepod.com/ instead.

no i got it, the cord was dead so wasnt reading it.

got other one hooked up and found out it didnt have enough gig to hold my library lol

ya u can have one ipod on five computers.
and one computer can hold five ipods with multiple libraries

By your music we thought you meant the music on the 2nd generation iPod, not your iTunes library.
