That Needle drop review is god awful, The Don being the best beat on here, :o

Personally, I think it's Nas' best album since God's Son, and possibly even better than that

Seriously, Nas blew me away with this album as I wasn't expecting much.

I replaced Reach Out with Trust, and The Don with Nasty and The Black Bond and it's pretty much flawless to me. I could easily see people deleting Summer On Smash, but I actually kinda like it

I'll probably agree with this, actually, if we're talking solos (I personally prefer Distant Relatives).

It's just as a whole, it's a really strong effort. Even when it falls off for me (Reach Out and The Don) it jumps back in right away (World's An Addiction and Stay), and to be honest Reach Out and The Don aren't bad tracks at all, I just felt some of the bonus tracks were a better fit

God's Son has some amazing tracks, but there's a good 4, even 5 songs on there I could do without

Personally, I'd take Life Is Good over Distant Relatives, purely on replay value for me

Go to amazon, nasty is on the regular version which is $10
EDIT: Amazon might be lying to me, track by track reviews dont mention Nasty lol.

I dont understand people saying this is boring, the production is fantastic all around. Its not synth driven bangers but synth driven bangers =/= good, really this album is > Recovery in every way. The lyrics really do draw you in and while the high points arent as high as on Gods Son, it doesnt have the filler of Gods Son. The previous statement also applys to Stillmatic which makes this, for me, Nas' best release in a long time, espcially since the production kicks Stillmatic and Gods Son's ass.

Distant Relatives' production puts it over this.

I've it downloaded, haven't listened to it, yet. To be honest, I found the 1st single "Nasty" boring.

Singles aren't the best tracks. Anyway, I don't get why there's so much hate. It's the first Nas album I was able to listen to in one sitting without falling asleep.

Not even close to a classic. Illmatic is one my top 10 all time but honestly i never fell in love with any of nas's albums after that his style changed to much and it was idk worse. He did few good or great albums after Illmatic but this is just more of same as last two that were just okay not bad but eh.

I'm sorry OP, but if you think fucking Reach Out is the best song in the album, then you have terrible taste.

That's probably the worst track next to Summer on Smash.

Honestly, I don't see how anyone who likes Hip Hop can't at least appreciate the quality of fantastic songs like World's An Addiction, Stay, Loco-Motive, etc.

I think Life is Good is a great Nas album. Probably his fourth or fifth best.
