Same.

I cringe at the "jamming to eminem <3" and "Eminembound (:" statuses. I miss the days I was the only who like eminem after Relapse :facepalm

Don't get mixed up in that "It's popular and mainstream now so I'm bitter or" "I liked this artist before anyone new him or before this album".

Just pay attention to the artist and the product they put out, that's all that matters. Don't base what you like off of fans, base what you like off of the product.

your words were meaningful, but i honestly had a motherfucker come up to me and try tellin me that Not Afraid was his best song... I'm not the one to be like "YEAH I KNOW EVERY EMINEM SONG" but come on. You can't tell me you wouldn't be like "... nah. man. nowhere close."

Cuz I ain't crazy I say shit that's crazy to crazy people to make em believe I'm crazy so they can relate to me and maybe believe in shady so they can be evil baby I LIKE THAT.

It's really weird to think that 10,000 more people today "liked" Eminem.

That's crazy.

Imagine if 5 % of these people bought the album on it's first week out. That's 3 million sales.

So many DLs lol.

yeah and ya know not everyone whose a "fan" has a comp, or is even on fb, or knows or does 'like' em on there, so 5% could really be 7 or 8 million...more mind blowing

Geno wrote:Yeah exactly. And that's only 5% of his FB following. Imagine if every "fan" was actually a fan and bought the album. That'd be nuts. It's weird to me because things like video games sell crazy numbers, but that's because you can't DL them I guess...but even back in the day, music didn't sell that much on a regular basis.

I bet if he said "This album is my last. Go buy it on _________ ! " then he'd sell over 1 million first week for sure.

i've said that for years son, stealing my thunder smh :shakehead:

when he announces its his last album it'll go plat first week no question

I'm not getting my hopes up though lol.

no no imagine this...he announces it's his last album AND gives a bonus cd with the purchase (like with the 8 mile cd) for the first 2 million or 3 million copies.

It'd come with Relapse 2. :smoking:

And he should also do something where it's like "first 500,000 pre-orders receive a limited edition t-shirt from Eminem's final album"

Instant sales.

anything like that would help...i mean he sells a lot already, that other shit would only add to it...plus a hot first single and street single/freestyle

Geno wrote:He should just start making really hot beats and rap the fuck out of them. I think a really cool idea for an album would be to just rap. No choruses throughout the whole thing. Each song has a beat with a certain mood or concept (as usual) but it's just lyrics all the way through. He could put skits on it if he wanted (as separate tracks), but the whole thing is just spitting. Kinda like Untitled I guess.

I dunno, I think it'd be cool. Maybe for an EP before an album to hype us up.

yeah but untitled sorta kinda does have a chorus but i know what you mean.

i think, along the same lines, he should do a song like that, therefore being like buddens who killed hip-hop. that would be one thing, if anything, i'd wish he'd do before he retires

Basically the album would be like Despicable with Em / Dre / Porter beats.

o so with songs that switch beats during the songs?

Geno wrote:Yeah that'd be cool too if they switched beats. As long as they were good beats throughout the song (unlike N****s in Paris going from a dope beat to a wack Kanye interlude thing).

What Em did on Despicable was good though. :y:

man i love that shit until kanye comes on, but yeah and what em did on despicable was dope as fuck, not just good ;)

thats what i hope.

I honestly wonder tho what will happen, for 2 reasons.

1. the true em fans are getting older for the most part, i mean he broke onto the scene almost 12 years ago, and the majority of those fans are my age or up to maybe 5 years older.

2. The new em fans, being the recovery fans basically because of not afraid and ltwyl, might not be into it anymore, because these younger kids are all about whats hot at the moment, and to them eminem might be old news by the time he releases another album, even if its this year.
