What are the "essential rap elements"? I'm not trying to be a dick but I'm so over this lack of imagination in hip hop. Anyone can sit in a room all day and string together puns and wordplay with multisyllable rhyming.. This requires a little more talent to pull off. It's cohesive, it has a point, a message...

Anyways, big props to Hopsin. He deserves all the recognition he's getting.

When you try to incorporate puns and wordplay into this type of song it doesnt work and its corny as fuck. Also, show me great puns and wordplay in recent Em songs, there's barely anything that rises above Wayne status. Puns and wordplay arent essential unless your doing a song like Nasty.

Face it if Em was putting out stuff like Richard, Throw it Up, pretty much every post Recovery feature, when he first was coming out all of us would have thought he was wack and corny. It's ok for artists to experiment like Em obviously was doing on most of them, but that shit should stay in the basement.
