I think it IS good for CERTAIN people, peoplw who NEED something to look forward to then by all means, go into religion and seek help by believing in something, but meh

No, personally I hate religion. I'm 100 % Atheist. I don't care for it. But I don't mind people who are religious(as long as their not a dickwad about it). But on the other hand I believe IN faith, I believe it's ok to have faith in something, to look forward for something in your darkest days.

I was raised to be a believer, but It's something I'm not sure about It, but I disagree with many things of the Catholic Church like the prohibition of condoms, for example, it's like they don't progress over time and that is very harmful in some countries.

I'm totally respectful of the beliefs of each while not affecting the society as a whole. If you ban condons, what about Aids? And that's a big problem in Africa for example.

I am religious, I'm Christian, particularly Catholic. I agree that sometimes Churches can come up with some stupid shit, but that's only cause denominations are man made, however, I still think the Catholic Church is the most credible of the denominations, followed by the Orthodox Church. Anyway, I believe that Judaism was the true religion until Jesus Christ was sent to earth and died for our sins and resurrected 3 days later and ascended to heaven. I believe in the holy trinity (father, son and the holy spirit), I believe in praying/asking through Virgin Mary and through Saints (and I believe a lot of the Miracles that have happened, especially with Lebanese St. Charbel, who till this day gets thousands of letters of thanks from around the world). I also believe in Mary appearances and Jesus appearances, especially at Fatima in Portugal, and in Lourdes, France etc... I believe in Heaven and Hell (afterlife). I'm a believer, but not that much of a practicer, I don't go to Church every Sunday, but I try the best I can. and I don't look at it as something to believe in to help me move on, no I look at it as Something REAL I believe in, and Jesus Christ is the the truth, the alpha and the omega as he said. He is the shepherd and we are his sheep, and he will guide us to the right path if we seek it. I'm actually quite sad to see how many people in Europe and North America and Australia are losing faith so quickly, the amount of atheism these days is just too damn high. But hey, that's the world, all I can do is pray for everyone to find their way

May I ask you a question? Were you raised Catholic? Were your parents Catholic? How come the Lutheran denomination isn't the most credible? LDS? Buddhism? Islam? Greek mythology?

And for your sentence in blue, you have it backwards. It's quite sad there's still people like you who believe silly things like you listed above. Know I'm not calling YOU silly, merely calling your doctrine (outrageously) silly. It's great the amount of atheists in the world is on the rise. Atheists don't start wars over which God is the most non-existent; yet religions do it all the time. It's sickening.

I think they most likely are. I read quite a nice analogy that if a doctor believe in the 'stalk theory' for child birth. If someone genuinely believed this was the case they would have to be ignorant to how humans are born or plain stupid. It's not too different.

I said TO ME, it's the most credible, and I don't want to argue why, cause that will sparkle another debate which will lead to religious fights which I don't want to happen

and if God is true, and the number of believers is dieing by the minutes, in my eyes it is sad, just as me having faith in God is sad to atheists

I'll have to tell you why I think the Catholic church is more credible than the others, I'll have to tell you why the other religions like Bhuddism for example to me are wrong, and by doing so, I might offend the people who are adherents of those denominations/religions, and I don't want to do that

Well you already did that (assuming they read your previous posts) by saying (to you) the Catholic denomination is the most credible. Then again, most believers get offended by stuff like that. You're not insulting the believer, only the doctrine, so they have no room to get personally offended.

So with that said, up to you whether or not you answer my questions; I'm simply curious.

This goes through my head 24/7. The only solution I have ever come up with is this.

We can't assume what happens after death. We haven't died yet, though, in death we may also not know that we are dead. We also may know. Any slight assumption towards what happens after death is just ignorance to me. "Find out when you die". Because you've died to prove you'll find out. It's all very logical.

Having that said, I have 0 taste for religion.
