The idea was good. So was the message, beat and his vocal performance. Lyrics...eh.

He's still writing transparent set-up lines for his multis.

The best writers are able to disguise multi-connecting set-up lines as punchlines in and of themselves. When you look at a 4-bar multi string and you can't decide which line the writer came up with first (IE, the real punchline and not a set-up in disguise), that's when it's dope as fuck...given that the punchlines are good in the first place, that is.

I agree with this. It makes it sound pretty amateur-ish. He compromises his word choice for his rhyming too much.
