Eh, I don't see Cahill/Terry/Luiz as good enough defenders for a team looking to compete for the title. Maybe Luiz, who is probably the best of the 3.

I'm probably going to be totally out here, but I'll put my neck on the line and say Di Matteo won't last the season. League form under him was pretty average last year (from what I remember) and it was only the Champs League win which got him the job. With the amount being spent, there's going to be lots of pressure for instant results, with signings that are unproven in the Prem (not going to pretend I know a great deal about any of them, mind)

But what the fuck do I know? Very little is the answer.

EDIT: And you better fucking not get Debuchy haha. We've been trying to tie down a deal for about 2 months now.

Well, yeah, Luiz was a liability early on, but looked your best defender under Di Matteo (from what I saw). Terry is still decent, but doesn't have the same reliability he used to. Cahill is solid, but I'm still of the view he's no more than a mid-table side CB. He was great in the Champions League run, though.

I can't see top 5 again, to be honest. I think Chelsea plus the teams that finished top 4 last year will make up the top 5. Not a clue of order, but I reckon Man City will win the league again.

I think Liverpool will struggle again; poor managerial appointment, and they're probably going to spend £15m (!!!) on Allen, who will be next year's Charlie Adam, so 6th isn't out of the question.

But I'd sacrifice that good form in the cups for missing on the top 5/6 to be honest. I'd love a long spell in Europe/FA Cup.

Could be replaced with Van Persie, though! Juventus are currently the favourites to sign him. With A.C Milan losing two of their big names, Juve have the best squad in Italy tbh. Inter's squad is pretty good though.

But Tottenham's president is fuckin greedy.
The deal is near done, it only needs Tottenham's president to be reasonable.

He's definitely trying to cash in on Modric as much as possible. I don't blame him though, Modric is an awesome player and I doubt Tottenham will be able to replace him. The deal is reported to be around £36m. The funny thing is, Tottenham rejected a £40m offer from Chelsea last summer. Their owner has been reluctant to sell him to another Premier League club.

Unless Madrid sell Kaka, I don't see why they want Modric. You already have Ozil who's one of the best playmakers in the world. Isn't Kaka pretty much the Ozil backup? Modric can play deeper though, so perhaps that's where Mourinho wants to play him? Even then, you have Alonso.
