I saw his freestyles on sway in the morning and i can say he and papoose have been the only ones to SLAY the five fingers of death. It was a breathtaking perfomance to be honest. Saw 2 of his videos (mama and Jessica i think) but wasnt particularly happy with his "artistic" song making side. But, dude is still dope and it would be interesting to see how he contributes to Detox.

There were rumors months ago he got signed to Aftermath. He's good but he'd end up like Slim da Mobster and sit on the shelf.

Well, to argue that out. Aftermath has created the careers of Eminem, 50 Cent, and Game. It has also housed Dre, countless other talented artists, and it's creating a great atmosphere for Kendrick Lamar to becoming a legend and make an impact. Its not that bad, you just have to have the ultimate "it" factor to get any attention. The only people who've honestly had it are Eminem (first three albums), 50 Cent (first album), Kendrick Lamar (currently). You've just got to be unbelievably amazing for them to get the gears rolling, but Kendrick is definitely getting a good treatment over there. I'd rather be signed to Aftermath over Shady Records any day.
