I could always hear the potential in Asher.

As soon as I listened to his debut I could tell he was talented, and had a lot of room to grow. But I knew he was serious. And all those critics who wrote him and his debut off as some wannabe Slim Shady knock-off are just racist morons who run with the hearsay.

I read so many critics say the album was mostly mindless stoner talk :confusion: when in fact there's a lot of socially-conscious and intelligent rap on that album, and way way more than you find on the albums of certain mainstream black rappers who get overly praised for talking the dumbest shit ever.

He got a harder time because he's white, and Em comparisons, but now he's coming in to his own. I'm not his biggest fan or anything, nor do I really follow him, but I'll be checking.

He has potential.

He is a bit but he has his thing where he overly emphasizes vowels and his delivery in spots to highlight rhyme patterns or similar enunciation, which I like. I wish most my favourite rappers were more exciting though... they all need a firebomb up their ass.
