This is how I look at it. Kendrick Lamar drops his dope verses as usually over a dope beat and Lady Gaga sings a hook to compliment his work. It's a hit because of the name, but Kendrick isn't selling out because he will most likely not dumb down his work. This is no different than Eminem collaborating with Rihanna (which was worse seeing how Gaga actually has talent and Eminem did diss Rihanna on Relapse where as Kendrick hasn't diss Lady Gaga, and yes I know Rihanna fits the song excuse.). I expect a good song because Kendrick hasn't dissapointed me once yet, but this will make all the little hipsters get their attitudes toward Kendrick fucked up.

Anyways, I'm not someone that cares if Kendrick wants Gaga on the song to reach more people.. I just care about the song. And whether you like Gaga or not, the bitch can sing. Gaga is also popular, he is one of the biggest artist doing it right now, so fuck it.

All I care about is the song. If the song is awesome, then I think it was a good choice. I think the reason why I get disappointed with EM is because...well, he's already the biggest artist in the fucking universe, so he doesn't NEED the extra exposure from collabing with a big artist. If the track is dope enough, it will be huge without a feature. Plus, there are artist I would much rather see him collab with than some of the fucks he's picked.

Kendrick won't sell out with his content (at least I really really hope not) but even working with her, some people can twist and say it's a form of selling out - I don't agree with that though.

Check my edit. He could've gotten an abused women to sing on his song, I think Skylar was even abused (I don't know). That's not the point, I understand she fits it but it wasn't a needed feature. That also doesn't account for Bruno Mars, and yeah I know Royce picked him but Eminem hopped on. I'm making this clear before the Kendrick haters come in here to diss his choice of features because they're pissed about the argument in the Eminem section yesterday (don't act like it won't happen).
