When debating between Lupe or Kanye, you have to take several things into account.

What are you debating? Lyrical skills? Best delivery? Production? Creativity?

When it comes to being a raw, lyrical rapper Lupe destroys Kanye.

When it comes to producing larger-than-life music, focusing more on the overall spectacle / sound as if it were a movie, then Kanye wins.

Kanye's music reminds me of Michael Bay movies. They have lots of flashy, cool things, but the story / message is boring as hell, and even if it is a good message, I don't care to listen because it's so bland. (most times)

This is exactly how I feel.
And as for my choice, I really did not like either of them that much but I still have a few Lasers songs on repeat so I guess my choice is Lasers.

TRShady doesn't like singing, so they'll say it's shit anyway (however, it's not).

What does singing have anything to do with the opinion of the members here?

I don't bother discussing Eminem with people in an attempt to sway their opinions on him, the only time I would ever do that is when people ask me about Eminem, his music and why he's so highly regarded by the Hip-Hop community and myself - usually it's people who aren't familiar with rap.

That's what I meant. I don't just randomly start telling people how amazing Eminem is all the time.

That being said, your example isn't even an accurate comparison. I've always conceded the fact that Kanye is a talented artist and I respect that. I like more of his music than I dislike, I actually used to be extremely fond of him back in 2006 and 2007, I listened to a lot of Kanye - more than Eminem. But people here especially love to over-exaggerate his talent, the same way people over-exaggerate Eminem's talent here.

It's a bunch of biased Stanye's heaping praise upon their lord and saviour Yeezus, so when I see them exclaim his artistry and bask in his musical glory, I automatically know it's an excessive evaluation. The same with Stan's here, who can't admit Eminem's weaknesses.

There is no bias at all. I don't know Kanye personally, I have no stake in his success, financial or otherwise. I like his music because it is amazing and that is why he is praised so highly amongst his fans. for me at least, he has evolved and changed as an artist so much and each album has been at least an 8.5 and every beat he makes is a 10. It's because of his sheer talent and creativity that he is so highly praised, not because his fans are biased. I believe current Kanye > current Eminem and to be honest it shouldn't bother you that people discuss the bad things about Eminem's work. The man has changed so much over the years and not many people enjoy him as much as they used to. I still love his music but I bump MBDTF more that Relapse or Recovery, not because I am biased toward Kanye (if anything I should be biased toward Eminem-- He's my favorite artist of all time), but simply because it's a better album.

I really don't understand why I'm pissing you off, but it's no sweat off my nut sack. I could understand if I was on a Kanye West forum and disregarding his talent, but this isn't a Kanye West forum...nor have I denied his talent. But at least you can partially fathom the annoyance that some of us Eminem fans feel - being on an Eminem forum filled with members who make it their daily forum mission to shit on Eminem's performances and music, even before it's out. Now that's fuckin' stupid.

Where have I ever said something so stupid about Eminem? I've said things like "I love every one of his beats" or songs, or whatever, but I don't go around saying they're all perfect 10/10s and nothing can match it.
