I didn't understand that. Are you sure they gave him his freedom or they just don't care now?

I don't get this...

Yelawolf wrote:Like I said, I feel like the window is kind of closing; I won’t be able to make another record like Radioactive. I’ll never have the chance again. All I can really tell you is that this next one will be completely different.

Lately Yela has been talking so much sense; he totally admitted that he (nobody made him btw, he chose to do it) totally compromised with Radioactive and that he won't be doing that again, and that the standard is a classic now; and that he wants to take his time to craft it...

Yet, what does he mean in that quote?

That sounds as if he's saying he has LESS freedom now, "the window is closed"... ?

^ That's exactly what I understood too. Glad I'm not the only one.

Maybe he meant like Interscope won't even care about pushing him now, it's like "do whatever you want you won't get any help" I don't think he's saying he is getting dropped though.

I think he's saying that his fanbase won't accept the compromises this time around.

He played around with these ultra melodic beats and sugary sweet sounds in an attempt to break out of the position he held. He made an album that wouldn't be considered risky by mainstream standards, but the fact that he tried to make an album that met those mainstream standards at all was most definitely a risky move in the sense that it could have damaged his credibility with his fanbase. He can't make another album like that, because his fans won't accept it.

That's how I took it, anyway.

It's a majorly mixed-up let-down. Even Yela admits that; he knows he didn't pull it off, he was just trying to make the world stage. It has some great tracks on it but a lot of bullshit tracks, and moments, too many guest hooks and it's inconsistent.

RA wasn't that bad. A good album with many great songs. Shady just failed hard to promote it.
Anyway, think his next album will be dope.
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.
