They gave channel ORANGE a 4, but Welcome to: Our House a 4.5?

I think they were being a bit too generous with that extra .5, a 3 would have been sufficient.

Channel Orange is boring as fuck. I, literally, almost fell asleep while listening to it.

This thread is about Slaughterhouse right... so I'm able to voice my opinion on how boring the album was.

Talking about booring, MBDTF :coffee:
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?

Very generous, and the rating doesn't quite match review.

He says:
Unfortunately, OUR HOUSE feels like a thrown-together collection of (extremely) dope posse cuts. The album lacks direction, and its aesthetic (both lyrical imagery and musical) seems a little overly influenced by Shady. Ultimately, there are countless bars worth hitting rewind for, but Slaughterhouse is capable of so much more.

But then gives it a near-perfect rating? lmao. Not consistent.

The album is a 3 for me.

Seems like another publication / fan who simply wants SH to be successful so bad that they can't bring themselves to be completely honest about the material. You can see that the reviewer doesn't think the album is that great; says it has skippable tracks, no direction etc. and yet 'near-perfect'...

I agree about "Throw It Away" though; as much as I hated the song initially, the song is pretty entertaining, has grown on me. I like getting to it now.

I'd give the album a 7.5/10

Maybe music can take us to a place so atmospheric

I feel it should be 3.5 max. A 9/10 is too generous. I get mixed feelings from that write up and that rating though.
