That's true, yeah, but I think it can be considered as the same era considering it's the same year in question. 8 Mile just influenced people to pay even more attention to TES.

Well, that wrong for a start.

Most fans at that time disliked the album & cried that Em had gone soft & commercial, which everyone should able to understand considering his previous album was the MMLP. Which is oddly similar to present time debates among stans on the content shift between Relapse & Recovery. Funny that.

However, everyone loved lose yourself when it dropped.

Lose Yourself was released as a single before songs like Sing For The Moment so TES and 8 Mile era are definitely intertwined. Good to see the album doing well. If you check the charts you'll notice MMLP sells very well too, usually outselling TES
