I'm just happy they sold more than DJ Khaled.

Only 10k more than Yelawolf?

Em should hire a competent marketing team if they want to get past those extremely low sales.

MMG and Good music are taking over. Only thing Shady has left is Eminem and hopefully 50 cent

50k is decent, hopefully if they do decide to release another album they make music for their fans and not to appeal to a larger audience. Mixtape was fire and showed they can still make dope music. I found the album to be a decent album, nothing ground breaking. Still had some good rhymes, something that the majority of the bigger labels lack.

Of course it is.

Sales have NOTHING to do with wether you make music for the radio or not. Damn, ya'll some close circuit stans here lol

J Cole- he wasnt coming out with typical "club ready/ poppy beats". Yes, his music has more appeal but how come he was able to sell better than slaughterhouse? Coz the fans liked his music
Tech N9ne- was NEVER ever on the radio- he still came 4th on Billboard charts coz his fans liked his music.
Toby Mac- who knows this guys?!! Does he make songs for the radio? Christian audiences buy his music.

Lecrae, ICP, E-40... the list goes on.

Slaughterhouse album will not do a B.O.B and "grow in sales" like Slippery suggested. That happened because believe it or not, he only had 2 articles about him on the main website of MTV. No-one knew this guy outside die-hard hip-hop fans. Add to that he made GOOD mainstream music (say what ya'll want Airplanes is dope as fuck and the subject matter is dense) and you will see why the sales grew.
Songs of the year

Tech N9ne- Gods, Ft Krizz Kaliko and Kutt Calhoun.

They already have grown in sales compared to their last. Staying relevant, learning from their mistakes and just putting out material will produce growth. That is if they do all this though.

This is super flop. Damn.
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

DJ Khaled has never sold albums, he gets his money from singles. So, their album may have outsold DJ Khaled's, which have never sold, but his singles will rack in three times or more the money Slaughterhouse is getting from their overall album sales.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4o80Bk4j2A Nicki Minaj.. How is she different than any other Femcee? It's the promoting. Make a bad bitch out of her, promote the shit out of her and here you go. Millions.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBEaj_cHNy8 Drake. How was he different than any other rapper? His voice might be special, yeah. They marketed him, gave him a whole new image..

That's it. They were clever. Birdman/Wayne are just better businessmen than Eminem is.

It's true. When a new Nicki, Drake or Wayne song is released, blogs swarm it. And when a new music video's uploaded, VEVO does a lot of promotion, commercials, and blogs post/tweet the link to the video, along with their own little reviews. They do cater to the more mainstream/radio audience, this is true, but I think had the promotion been handled differently, we'd see better results.

Not that it matters, though. I love the album anyway. :smoking:

Exactly!

How do u think how much it will sell in the second week? I hope it's >15k.
