Well, he gave good points. What's wrong with discussing it? Maybe he's just asking for someone to prove him that they're dope artists. That's pretty cool, at least, he isn't being ignorant.

Lol this is exactly what some posts in the backstage were about. Someone posts a legitimate argument and is having a friendly back and forth and you get someone like InsaneTRex94 who tries to be overly hard in all of his posts and attack people. Lmao this guy.

Exactly. or instead of an actual rebuttal, they'll say, "you're a fucking faggot, op" it's annoying as hell.

Exactly what I was saying.

Wait, I think I was repeating myself just now...

Crooked has some of the dopest punches IMO. His punchline game is possible the best in SH. His 'Big picture' punch in the cypher was definitely one of the best lines. Same with his head over heels line on Our House. I've only just started listening to his solo stuff and for the most part you're right, but I do like a lot of his punches.

I agree with you on Tech, though he does sound awesome doing it.

What a stupid post :facepalm You sound like those teamshady faggots who defend anything Eminem does and if anyone ever says anything bad about any aspect of his music at any point in time they'll call them haters and tell them to listen to Lil Wayne (o wait u probably are 1 loll :'''()

We're asking WHY you think they're good lyricist and you think the appropriate response is to brush them off as idiots and tell them to listen to something else? What's the point of that? And I'm not even talking about Tech N9ne because although I don't listen to hear profound and thought provoking lyrics, he makes some cool sounding music. But Crooked I? No. He needs justification to the fullest. If you're going to say that this faggot lyrical miracle rapper is good we're going to need an explanation.

Again, forced rhyming and a nice flow =/= lyricism. Now you can continue to listen to someone who says things like "I'm going to start FaceCrook for rappers who want to face Crook" on a regular basis but he is not a great lyricist. He's as one dimensional as they come and can't write a song to save his life.

@Elision

"The reason for this is for the sake of flow. And Tech's crazy lyrical pieces start to become a lot more clear when you understand that often, flow is his #1 priority. And in this sense you'll see that he's actually using the words as instrument notes. The syllables fall perfectly into place like Tetris, and while the bars he's spitting sometimes don't correctly follow our language's rules of grammar, because of it you're able to rock to that shit like no other. And you still know what he's describing because of his word choice. There's a writer/author by the name of Cormac McCarthy who likes to do the same thing in his writing. However Tech is the only artist that I'm aware of who does it to this degree with lyrics."

That is cool and all, and as I said in my first post you could say it's all stylistic...BUT, you have to realize writing like that is a lot easier.

"Crooked has some of the dopest punches IMO. His punchline game is possible the best in SH. His 'Big picture' punch in the cypher was definitely one of the best lines. Same with his head over heels line on Our House. I've only just started listening to his solo stuff and for the most part you're right, but I do like a lot of his punches. "

Those punchlines are not impressive. Anyone can write like that. Pick a word or phrase that can be taken in multiple ways. Let's try "bigger bang for your buck". Ok, hmm. I could be a deer hunter shooting cannonballs, or maybe .. ah i know:

found a cheap fat prostitute, I hang with the slut/
you could say I get the bigger bang for my buck/ *Em screaming OHHHH

Oh shit, some slaughterhouse level punchlines. Anyone could do this. Even the big picture one works the same way. I believe Embase said this before, but you just the ending phrase and work backwards. It's really not difficult, and an insult to my intelligence when they claim they are the best lyricists in the world writing shit like that. And a large majority of punchlines are incredibly lame, but that's another thread.

Not trying to be unnecessarily abrasive though, just bein' honest yo.

As for Crooked I, I don't even know what your problem is there. He's on fire as well, and is completely fluent. :-k

I'm not denying he is a beastly performing, or that he doesn't have a dope voice or good flow. I am only concerned with lyrics . Nevertheless, I bet seeing him live would be the shit.

Can't accept the opinion set aside Crooked's name, at least. He's not always that meaningless. His song with Rhyme Asylum was hot. I agree, some of his rhymes might seemed forced as hell, but that's the trend of TODAY'S rapper. I really liked the opinion that Jokker expressed about Tech, same thing was in my mind. I'm glad that an Artist like him also feels the same. Even though I don't hate Tech; I wont hype him eigther.

Jokerr can do all of those, and honestly I feel you're being a bit ignorant about the Jokerr's catalogue. Jokerr is way more versatile than Tech N9ne. What HAVE you actually heard of his and thoroughly tried to listen to and understand how he's doing it all that you can make all of these assumptions and compare him to an artist you think is the 2nd best rapper of all time? Most of the Jokerr haters simply don't LIKE the sound of the 2 songs they've heard of his, and have bias against him because of how cocky he is and how he dissed Tech N9ne. The Jokerr's music is brilliant.

Sorry for derailing; I just felt I needed to say that.

Tech N9ne responded to that Jokerr track in an interview. He said something like "That's only one side of me that he did. He did He's A Mental Giant, that's it. I have many different styles and he only covered one."

Of course I'm paraphrasing, but he said something like that.

He's A Mental Giant is just a track loaded with heavy multies. Sure, Jokerr can do that. He's a good rapper. Can he make a track like This Ring? Can he make one like Riot Maker? Come Gangsta? Midwest Choppers? One Good Time?

Can he do it all live?

Doubtful. Tech's the whole package.

I heard that Interview. Jokker might as well pull the right card and might even cover those. But, the beefs not that big enough for him to do that and he might end sounding like a doofus.
