This isn't about how similar Tech N9ne and Jokerr are or if The Jokerr can copy Tech N9ne though  Their styles are completely different. His diss was just showing it isn't difficult to do the "He's A Mental Giant" all out flow, cha's, and multies style a lot of Tech's fans gush buckets over, and that even he could do it with ease. You were saying Jokerr cannot make music like The Ring, Riot Maker, Come Gangsta, Midwest Choppers, and One Good Time and the answer is YES. And he has made dope ass much like those songs. He's gone all out with punchlines, flow, several deliveries, many different styles. The real question is could Tech N9ne ever do something like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7jdoNrZ ... ure=relmfu

Regardless of thinking whether it's good or bad, could Tech be able to pull off a completely sung album even for that thought. And produce it all. And mix and master everything his own, a complete and 100% solo effort. I don't think he could.

I think his delivery (or sound) in that song suited it perfectly, it sounds as though he's extremely angry all the while making funny situations where he would slap someone. And I know it's all your opinion lol, I'm not trying to make you like Jokerr more than Tech N9ne. I liked Tech N9ne so much more than I like The Jokerr, but when you said Jokerr would be unable to make songs such as Come Gangsta and The Ring I had to hop in and say he very well could. That's all, lol.

I don't like Tech N9ne. At all. I'd never call him bad, doe lol. That's just blind hating. Crooked I is dope. That's all that need to be said. Both guys have some mad skillz, but in the eyes of different people, they have a hard time creating great sounding music. A lot of people like Tech, but I feel that way about him and Crooked. They both have gems though and often make me say "Damn" with their skillz. Just find them to be uninteresting.

Oh i totally get that, lol. It's the fact that it took him 3 lines of to get to set that up. It's very dull. Like *yawn* are you still trying to describe "sickest feeling". Like lol, sickest feeling is a bullshit phrase anyways. Anyways, I'll throw the tracks you guys posted on my workout playlist and give em a listen, so I hope it's not bunk whack shit.

One thing I must say.. It's great that Tech can rap well live, but that has no bearing on his lyrics. Totally unrelated.

@Menzo, that Fast Car track is pretty nice. Haha, I had a feeling you were going to comment on me using Loud Noises again, but I feel like that track is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. Plus it's usually praised as being a great verse.. BTW, I'm not trying to say that Tech and Crooked are bad rappers, I just think they get away with lazy writing because people's perception of good lyricism is so fucked.

I don't want to resurrect any type of arguments, but I stayed quiet assuming this would be said eventually.

It doesn't matter weather or not Tech's music is easy to make. And for the record, I don't believe it is. But for the sake of argument, let's give the OP benefit of the doubt and agree that Tech is following a fairly simple formula to construct his work. Even then they (as in SM) are still putting more raw effort into his work than any other notable artist in hiphop currently. So by your standards almost everybody is objectively shit.

But even all of that aside, even if Tech's work is easy to duplicate in comparison and he sacrifices too much for the rhyme etc. etc. the bottom line is, he's the only one doing it that way.

He's unique to hiphop in the sense that his priorities when writing are simply different. Most of the time rhyme & rhythm take priority over grammar and proper punctuation. And if that just so happens to be what I prefer listening to, I feel like it's unfortunate that I have virtually no other artist to turn to but Tech N9ne.
But this is mostly why the following he has is so strong and dedicated to him, because it's the only place they can hear that type of music. But it's also why those who just don't get it most likely aren't going to any time soon, unless they actually try to.

I'm going to close with this, and please note that I understand it may sound elitist and thus possibly cocky. But I don't see another way around it. Tech N9ne is smart-people's music. You don't just stumble upon rap and latch onto Tech. You graduate to his music once you've listened to enough hiphop over the years to be able to fully grasp what's coming at you when he's rapping. And you don't need to make these threads hopelessly trying to figure it out.

If it's not your cup of tea now, keep listening to whatever artist(s) you're listening to currently, and come back when you are. Because Tech's name literally means that he has every style in the book. So whatever your artist is doing, he's doing it and then some.

Your disliking of it is very simply you not hearing what us informed listeners hear. We're nebular.

FIRST OFF, there is nothin' wrong with a friendly debate. Me, bein' an honorable individual will try my hardest to follow your logic and reach your conclusions. That being said, I disagree with almost everything you said.

I'm not speaking on his music as a whole, I'm talking about ONLY the lyrics. I've already praised his flow, his delivery is cool, but those are largely subjective. I'm talkin' 'bout the lyrics. That said, OF COURSE it matters if his music is easy to make (in terms of writing). Just because someone is unique, or he is the "only one doing it that way", doesn't automatically make him good.

I could be the only rapper that spits all my verses while flinging shit at the walls, but that means nothing when we evaluate the music.

Also, it doesn't matter why YOU like Tech. I'm asking why is he good. He values rhyme and rhythm over grammar and proper punctuation. Great. Why is that good? *frogs and crickets*

And I'm not even going to address the smart people's music comment...

Because once again, he's the only one bringing this to the table.

Where's that one Tech song where for a whole verse he's just rapping nonsense... I think he said something along the lines of slamming his feet against goo or something...

I agree with a lot of what WillyMo has brought to the table.

Elision, your logic is pretty warped trying to defend Tech.

And everyone seems to be confused that Willy is only 'attacking' Tech's average lyrics.

If I rhymed flawlessly but it was absolute nonsense then my verse may sound nice but it would not be good lyrically.
You can't really deny that.

I love tech and have the majority of his albums but I do feel his recent work is overrated.. Rev made a good point about albums having filler content. I also feel this way especially with his recent albums. It could be because he wants to stay relevant and puts out a lot of music. I do wish Tech spent a few years crafting an album because that would probably be the best way for him to create a great from top to bottom album. I understand he has always released albums yearly (ignoring 2003-2005) But after K.O.D. (Which was somewhat lacking itself) his music has seemed hit and miss for me and lacking in consistency. He would make some great tracks and some 'meh' tracks. He has also become somewhat repetitive, although the majority of his albums have had a unique sound.

I guess this is something you should expect from someone who has put out 13 (I think?) albums.
