Do you ever listen to music that's not in your language?

Postby Blu » Sep 12th, '12, 08:05

The title might be phrased a little weirdly, but the question is simple:

Do you listen to songs in languages you do not speak?

I'm pretty sure everyone on this forum can speak English, even if you don't live anywhere near an English-speaking country, so I'll be excluding that.

But, to answer the question: yes, I do occasionally listen to some songs that are in Spanish and Japanese, mainly because I enjoy the way the songs sound. Even if I don't understand what the lyrics mean, it still has a nice tempo with a nice beat that I enjoy. But of course, I'll look up the lyrics and try and translate them.

Anyone else?

No. The lyrics are the most important part of the song to me. If i don`t understand a word-fuck it.

I want you to check russian rapper Oxxxymiron. Why him? Because in our rap he is the first one who makes crazy multi-syllable rhyming and does cool punchlines. He is really the first one who had brought up our rap to a new level in terms of flow, rhymes, punchlines.

I listen to english mostly, and I listen to Spanish music because I understand it and it's in my surrondings. I've also heard some german hip-hop(weird huh?) and whatever those different languages were in the song Worldwide Choppers by Tech
