Its his most important album too. At a time where you had all these protesters from GLAAD bitching (my dad is gay and he enjoyed mmlp and sslp.. so that makes a statement right there towards them), to people saying hes vulgar, etc. Then he puts out The Eminem Show. He basically silenced everyone who ever critiqued him for being homophobic and released a serious and heartfelt album. While still classic eminem & very raw he took a different path for the album. That's why this album is so important. It also gained him a lot of new fans too who weren't to crazy about him being Slim Shady and what not. This album was an extreme growth for him as an artist. He crafted a masterpiece. This isn't his best album to me. But its probably my favorite next to MMLP. Truly classic album and an important one too.
