That's a little far. I mean they aren't racist, they are just Black Entertainment Television. I expect this tbh, and I lose no sleep over it. Anyway, if they were racists MGK, Yelawolf, and Eminem wouldn't be allowed on to do stuff ect... It's how they get their business anyway, BET is smart by focusing on one community.

This just goes to show how 2012 has been an absolutely SHITTY music year- mainstream or otherwise. I mean, the only guys who have albums this year worth checking out are Nas and (dare i say it) Rick Ross. 2 chainz, future, cashout, Asap, Meek Mill, Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, Nicki Minaj DEFINE mainstream now?! J Cole, Throne and Drake are all from last year and most of Kanye's nominations are on an album thats not even out yet.

Second half should prove more productive. Oh, with the current state of Hip-hop, i see no reason why Kendrick cant blow the fuck up.

Not really, for example if lets say Em made a for sure award winning album, they wouldn't nominate him because they wouldn't want him to win, and BET only nominated Hell: The Sequel because they knew that "The Throne" would win. Also they get artist like Em for their own benefit for more views and such. Also keep in mind that they didn't really help promotion under Shady members(SH & Yela) only Slaughterhouse(and a lttle bit) they usually help any other artist a lot I mean a whole lot. I believe because their boss is Em. Not only that the Network takes it too far at times with some of the shows they have.
