Second, I highly disagree with Cruel Summer being a 5/5 and showing how Kanye has progressed as a rapper (although his verses are good). Cruel Summer actually could have been a LOT better and it can't be 5/5 with I Don't Like and Mercy on it. Also that Cudi song was a huge disappointment.

BUT, Kanye west is a very underrated lyricist on here. His verse on Never Let Me Down is an example of good lyricism from him.

I don't mind the party tracks.

But I completely forgot about "Creepers"...Cudi's voice on that song is sooo annoying.

Lol, I like how people say "he's not a good rapper", when they only count shit like multi's and inverses.

I mean, I don't mind party tracks if they're good. But songs with Cheef Keif or whatever his name is and 2 Chainz are destined to be bad lol. I wasn't really impressed with the production on the album either. Kanye should have produced the majority of it. I do love the beat on The Morning, though.
And yeah I was really disappointed with Creepers. There was a snippet of a Cudi song on Youtube that sounded incredible and was rumoured to be on Cruel Summer but instead we got a weird shitty song.

And yeah he IS a good rapper. Creativity is his biggest asset but he's definitely not a bad rapper. He doesn't use much multies but neither does Lupe Fiasco and he's one of the best lyricists of all time. There's also a lot of comedic value to some of Kanye's songs which is great. I think it has to do with his delivery and adlibs lol.

I don't care if he's godly or not, Diamond from Sierra Leone sounds perfect to me :D

I know what you mean, but I'm sure he's saving all the beats he made for his next solo album (hopefully).

Cudi as a rapper has just been disappointing me lately. Not a big fan of "Just What I Am". Well, I guess basically everything after Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, I wasn't really impressed with.

His verse on "New God Flow" was brilliantly written, and I like how he mentioned Kim on "Clique", adds to that humor you mentioned.

The only thing I really dislike about the album is how it's only 12 tracks long. Hopefully the deluxe edition will make up for that.

That's not it at all, you're just blindly accusing an anonymous mass of people. As an emcee, Kanye is weak. As an artist/writer, he's not.

OK then...how is he a weak emcee?

Kanye is a great musician in general. But he's not lyrically up to par with today's titans. And his personality is shit.
