it's really interesting to read you guys, so we know we all have different opinions because imo, I can see the worst pac's song as better than any top kanye's song and I rly love yeezy :/
If I listen to tupac, even if I don't know if the song is from him or not, I immediately think "THIS is the definition of hip hop !"
When I listen to kanye, I often think this is interesting in a artistic way, song is enjoyable but something is missing.
I would rather compare kanye to another artist ( pop artist) than to a hip hop artist coz for me, he's far away from the best rappers.

Exactly you just can't compare Kanye to a legend like 2pac who is much better than Kanye only a stan would do that. All Eyez On Me, Me Againist The World, 7 Day Theory are simply better than Kanyes best album. You can't compare Kanye to legends like 2pac Eminem, Nas, Scarface Kanyes a good producer used to be pretty good not so much now and is a below average rapper. But giving Kanye has credit he along with Beanie Sigel is the best ever rapper from Rocafellas history but just not in 2pac's league ever

That's another reason why Hip Hop fans are probably the most biased ever.

There is a difference if you enjoy Kanye or any rapper more than PAC its ok it is ur opinion...

Its not just Hip Hop fans I just asked 40 people at my work at this moment...they all say PAC...

The fact is that PAC is better though he is RAP Kanye is more Pop.

Because every casual rap fan will say Tupac automatically even if they haven't really listened to him because they don't want to sound like idiots. Can you refute anything I said in my OP?

Also, Kanye transcends genre. He doesn't care what rap is supposed to be, he just makes music.

You made the thread you fucking moron.

Also Kanye is a rapper, he just doesn't stick to what rap is supposed to be. He isn't pop though, other than arguably 808s I guess.

That`s ok name, you got your opinion. That`s cool. You don`t care about the whole "he's done a lot to the game", "his legacy"...but you care about Kanye`s great producing and his "artistic" approach or whatever you Kanye fans always talk about. It`s stupid to say that you don`t care about what Pac did, but Kanye, his contribution is important
1. In terms of passion, emotion and charisma-Tupac is above Kanye. High above.
2. I think Pac is a bit overrated, but 2Pac will always symbolize rap in a way that Kanye will never do. Never
3. Kanye, as a rapper, can never be compared to Tupac. Never. None of his songs will never be better than Changes, Dear Mamma, Letter 2 My Unborn, Untill The End Of Time... No matter how long artistic musical interlude Kanye has before his rapping comes.

Especially 1 who mostly don't rap about deep issues but raps alot about designer clothes, wealth, females, sex being Kanye and make up a majority of his songs where as 2pac has a lotta emotional songs about life issues. Kanye music is for entertainment for his listeners while people relate to 2pac's emotion and subjects

as a rapper, kanye can't be compare to the greatests in the game, I mean, I can't !
I love kanye, but imo, he's good/very good, still far away to be one of the very best.
saying ppl chose tupac because of the name or whatever is also biased :/

I hate biggie, rly hate him, but I can easily say that for me, biggie > kanye any day

The reason 2pac is simply way better than Kanye is cos of 2pac's deep subject matter and emotions while Kanye has a lotta subject matter jut about materialsm and wealth Kanye unlike 2pac never experienced poverty or living in a poor enviroment Kanye grew up middle class, 2pac was a great rapper while Kanye is not even a good rapper but was a good producer, 2pac's catalouge kills Kanes so easily

lol don't want to be a fool coz I'm listening to kanye right now as he's one of these artists I listen to everyday, but why comparing a fucking great lyricist like biggie to kanye lOl, it's unfair homie, please let's stay in the game  :shifty:

btw, ppl comparing new generation to old generation, they seem to forget that some artists will be remembered as the greatests, can't see kanye in this category imo

Because Kanye's production/artistic vision pertains to his music? Tupac's legacy is mostly because he died.

Uhm, Tupac probably has more songs about weed/alcohol, woman, and wealth than Kanye does.

So.. You like Kanye. You think he's great. And you hate Biggie. But somehow you've come to the conclusion that Biggie>Kanye? I think you're confused.

and I think you need to know that ppl can respect an artist because of his work when he has to release a song or an album.
biggie is rly rly great, one of the greatest of all time even if you don't agree.
its not because I hate him that I can't recognize the quality of what he has done.
sometimes we enjoy listening to bad music but still, we can enjoy it, we can like it but it doesn't mean the track is good though

I enjoy listening to we made you and I still think the track is meeeeh, I hate listening to biggie and still think he's in all another level than kanye.

we're going to say that lady gaga is a bad artist coz ppl from here don't like her :flutter:

Well look at the facts Eminem is a great producer because he is creative he actually creates beats from scratch actually makes his beats, where as Kanye samples old 70's and 80's soul music. Kanye mainly gets R&B singers to do his hooks on his songs where as Artists like Eminem sing the hooks them self Kanye only raps he don't sing where as Eminem does both rapping and singing and as i said produces original beats too.
