Oooook, so I'm in Liverpool, started my job as assitant teacher. It's all good except for the fact that I don't have a flat/room in a flat. And I can't seem to find one. That means no bank account, no bank account means no money for the work I do.

I'm staying at a hostel which is horrible.

I'm only here for a week and it feels like I've been here for ages.

No one at school seems to care - actually they do care but no one has offered me a place to stay at their place.

I'm thinking about trying for another 2 weeks TOPS and then getting on a flight home...which would ruin my life, because I cancelled my teacher's training program in Germany for this fuckery here. So I would be a welfare case until May 2013.

The agency that got me this job is actually a government agency but they said I'm responsible for accomodation and no one has ever had that problem. I also got this job offer on short notice and wanted to take it, because I desperately need to practise English.

So should I go back or try for another 2 weeks tops?

Why do you need a place to get an account? You can't give the bank details of your German account and spend money with that?
