His image said "Don't let me die". I was paranoid. I said "why"? He said "because you the....."

I understand the general point of the paragraph, that 2pac inspired Kendrick and all that, I don't get the "because you the..." part. Actually I don't get most of it what he's saying, but especially the "because you the..." part.
