Can we officially rule out a 2012 album?

I think he should just drop an album next week out of nowhere. That would be badass.

Things doesn't work that way. Before dropping an album, they release a single. And that usually happens 2 months before. We are in October and there is no single in the way right now. So no way there will be an album in 2012.

And before the single comes a freestyle of some sort (e.g. Despicable) to hype the single, no freestyle yet. I bet were getting one by end of the year though.

So he either has a complete album, and he's just gonna sit on it for two years to "build the hype"...or, he's still working on an album that he only announced the preliminary stages of less than 6 months ago. I know people tend to think you're stupid, but I don't see how you could possibly think the first scenario is anywhere near as probable as the second.

You're right, he doesn't have to, but that seems to be his thing now though.


He hyped up his new single by featuring on various artists songs (such as he did with Recovery)

Nevertheless, he's going to hype up the single way before he even announces it.


EFIT: Abram is right, he's most likely still recording, once the album is around 90-100 % finished he'll start getting hype, thus hyping the envitable single. Then by the time the single comes, hell even before it, he'll be finished.
