I find it lacks consistency.

But don't get me wrong, the highs on the album are very, very excellent.

I agree with this. Some songs are great like Momeny of Clarity but some songs are below average. Same problem with The Blueprint.

Definitely not.

I'm not the biggest Jay fan but Reasonable Doubt > anything 50 has done or will ever do.

50 Cent can barely even be called a rapper. He's a gangsta that half-sings hooks and talks about his money, Jay does the same, but he's capable of doing it well.

not one of the, THE
"I take yall diss as endearment - I love it when I hear it
Maybe words offensive - free speech I don't fear it
Maybe music can take us to a place so atmospheric
Beyond our greatest imagination, illuminatin' experience
If we open our ears and close our inhibitions, it's clear"

I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

ohhhhhhhh man same, Ghetto Qu'ran  but as a debut album under aftermath, grodt is my favorite (and still think that grodt > a lot of jay-z albums)

The old 50 cent was a top5 potential goat imo
