ah I didn't know about the 125 k but the show boosted the sales of swimming pools as you said, the single went straight into the top 10 a few hours after the show :flutter:
Then french companies estimated kdot to sell 150 000 copies of his debut album a few days ago =p

in fact, I'm not sure if you wanted to say "now" or "not" lol =p so my apologizes coz I didn't know what to answer ^^

french companies estimated at 150k a few days ago ;)

Quebec or France?

France ^^
That's why I don't know what to think about that, they might be right but it's not even comparable to us companies lol =p
but one thing is sure, swimming pools got boosted, it was #6 after the bet awards, don't even know if the single is still in the top 10 or not

btw, they're selling physical (and signed) copies of S80 again on the tde site :y:

Lello wrote:I sure hope it won't leak soon, it's not good for an artist when an album leaks like 2 weeks before the release... I can wait to listen

I think it all depends on the album.
Some ppl like me don't buy albums if they can't listen to it before ;)
Well, kdot is an artist I like, just like Eminem or other artists so I'll buy his album but for example, let's take GAME, if I don't like his album I'll not buy it !
So whatever happens, I'll wait for the leak to decide if I'll buy it or not, in this case, it's better if it leaks early imo

same shit here, ppl who are decided to buy the album will buy it even if they download it BUT it if leaks earlier, random ppl who enjoyed listening to it will buy it and it can boost his sales for the first week !

we're only 5 days away from some release dates if I'm not saying shit

Lello wrote:word, but there's a huge difference of how early the leak was. The album is scheduled to drop on October 22nd, that's 8 days from now, some people might get bored of that album by that period and actually lose the need to buy it, no matter how immense it was, but if it leaked like 2 or 3 days before the release that will not be a factor for most people

I don't buy albums at all, cause in Lebanon they don't count sales, so I will not be any type of benefit for Kendrick, and I'm not ready to spend 18$ for nothing

true, but I think kdot has already a real fan base, even if its not even comparable to artists like Eminem, kanye and co.

I don't have that much album either, it's just for my personal collection, I must have 20 hip hop albums (and I have bought some of them 10 years ago  )

Fuck! This makes me wonder if he's gonna have any beats on Em's album.
He'll probably have, but I want the majority of it to be produced by him!!

they recorded more than 30 songs together (kdot & dre, it was said in an interview), he also played a song prod by dre during a listening session but as he said, he didn't promise to put every song played in the album =p

btw, some ppl from ktt said they gonna leak the album ( they uploaded pics or whatever u want, I still think they are trolls but at least, they are talking about leaking it in a few minutes and not hours  )

and the tracklist we had is from the standard edition (yes, double disc for standard edition), not the deluxe one, that's why we can only see 15 tracks instead of 17 =p)

not gonna bump good kid?

Actually, m.A.A.d city is my most anticipated track and I don't even know the fuck why. Probably won't love this as much as Lace Up (i'm biased as fuck) but I will definitely love it.

And if it's really great, I COULD like it more lol.

fucking idiots ppl on ktt...

the man who posted the picture actually works in a local store, so we know the album is in stores right now.
Unfortunately, the man is working so it was possible to have that leak at 8 pm US time but ktt members called where the dude works to have the leak so of course, we are now fucked and we won't be able to listen to it as he's afraid to have legal problems -.-

Assume that anyone who says "itz coming in 2 hourzzz!" or whatever amount of time is bullshitting. If they had the album, they'd stop talking about leaking it and just leak it already. Unless they wanna grab some quick e-fame that'll last about 10 minutes.

So we don't know who produced Collect Calls?

Surprised we didn't get a J. Cole beat either.
