And yeah TBA is a classic and idk why people are calling it inconsistent. Jay-Z's career overall has been inconsistent and he's acknowledged this, he'll have a fantastic album and then release an average one (AG-BP3), but his discography holds 4 classics imo and not many people are fucking with that

But don't get me wrong, the highs on the album are very, very excellent.

I don't see how TBA is inconsistent, I agree that most of his other albums are though.

Don't come in this thread and say GRODT >>> TBA and then say "oh bro it's just my opinion."

Nah, back that shit up. What makes GRODT better? Absolutely nothing. Not a single song from GRODT is equal or even better than any song off TBA.

hoes.

But Hage do you actually think 50 Cent is a good lyricist? I mean c'mon, the only good think about ANY 50 Cent album is the beats/hooks (and he doesn't even have that anymore lmfao). What makes GRODT better than TBA? Have you even listened to TBA? They aren't even comparable lyrically or from a technical rap standpoint lol.

lol how am I biased though I'll admit when anything is wrong with a Kanye/Jay album

BP3 sucked, Cruel Summer was average.

Now tell me how 50 Cent is anything other than an average lyricist.

I like Many Men. It has a great beat, a great hook, and decent lyrics. I like the "I'm here for a reason" line as well. It's better than the majority of the album. But.. It's still not even comparable to any of Jay's albums lol. You can argue that 50 Cent is a "good" lyricist (although I think that the most you can get away with is decent) but are you seriously trying to argue that he's a better rapper than Jay-Z? Especially on TBA?

I have a question for you, is it true Jay Z bites rhymes?

if by biting you mean taking other peoples lyrics and claiming that he wrote them, then no.

Hage wrote:Not saying he's better in terms of lyrics, it was about the album as a whole. and i find it funny that when it's not about kanye's works lyrics suddenly do matter hmm ..

But still fif = above average lyrics for me .

Lyrics do matter when it comes to Kanye, he's a better lyricist than 50, a MUCH better artist, he's creative, AND produces. 50 does none of those things lol

The rapping on TBA is incredible, fantastic beats and great song structure, but I'm arguing about lyrics here lol idc which album you prefer
