?????

rappers compliment each other all the time, but they don't say "you are the best ever" to each other all the time ;)
the only time I heard kanye talking about "the best rapper ever" was when he talked about Eminem.
same for a lot of other rappers

I mentioned that he is definitely 'paying homage' in his recent work. For obvious reasons.

And I do realise rappers pay tribute. But Jay's were originally random, not well-know lines. That he often paraphrased lol.

It'd be different if Jay started a verse with "it's all a dream" or something to that effect.

But yeah, it was probably homage, as you'd be pretty stupid to take from biggie and expect not to get caught out.
I'm not tryin to be rude, but I sincerely wanna fuck the taste out of your mouth

You know how many times Eminem complimented Lil Wayne? That doesn't mean anything. Generally speaking, many hip hop heads find Nas, Jay, and someone like Andre 3000 to be the GOATs.

Lol no. Eminem, Jay, Nas are usually the 3 most named names. That's why he won polls, etc, etc. Denying it is straight being delusional. To this day, he's the biggest rapper ever, he sold the most records and he's still loved by a lot of his old fans. (It's true that some turned their back on him though, but his core fanbase is still there for the most part)

That's why Relapse, which wasn't really appealing to people who didn't know him before, still sold like 2 millions records. Eminem is considered as one of the best alive, if not the best amongst Jay and Nas. That's it.

He won polls because people who just got into the Recovery Eminem. Hop off this forum and go anywhere else and you'll see what hip hop fans think of Eminem, not teenage girls. I doubt you even know who 3stacks is, so take this nit just as an argument, but an educational lesson.

Oh yeah a 16 year old who thinks 2chainz had the best album of the year will definitely educate me. Thanks for dropping knowledge on me boi.

And the "best rapper alive poll" was from 2008. No Recovery, no Relapse. We just got Encore and the Re Up. So what you're saying is invalid.

Eminem is still considered as one of the best to ever do it, even now, I'm not saying he is or anything, I agree he has been average but HE IS considered as one of the best to ever do it.

Even now, in every rap site, article about Eminem, it's always gonna be about "arguably the best rapper alive" or "one of the best to ever do it" and that's a fact.

Not even talking about quality but reputation lol. He is one of the most respected MC, obviously some internet nerds who nitpick every details (and they only do that with artists they don't like btw) are gonna say otherwise.

I think they gave too much attention because almost 98% of his homages go to B.I.G
Unlike, let's say Em...He paid homages to several different rappers, so people didn't care that much.

@Accor...Kanye better than Em? How delusional are you? And you call us biased :zipped:

lol I say that in almost all the threads that have like 10 pages of discussion so I can get reactions like these.

But I do think that Kanye's music is better than Eminem's and there's absolutely nothing delusional about that. I also think that lyrically, for the most part, MBDTF is better than Recovery, + it crushes it in basically every other area.

Why?

How am I delusional for liking Kanye's music more than Eminem's? How does that make sense?
