That's not true either

Depends what province ur in, Ontario has 13% tax it used to be 15%.

Saying the whole of Canada pays 15% tax as of right now is wrong. It does not depend. :coffee:

I am not saying each province shares a tax rate. I'm saying Spyder saying Canada (basically all provinces) have to pay 15% tax, and that is wrong, and there really is nothing more to say on the subject. It isn't a big deal. And yes I'm aware like 3 provinces have to pay around 15% tax. Could someone tell me how much the United States' sales tax is? I want to know how bad mine is in comparison.

You work for the Federal Government? I find that hard to believe.

It depends on the state. There's also a state tax and a local tax which also varies. The range for the total tax is from around 3% to around 12%

yes i assume not everywhere in canada has the same tax
novia scotia, quebec, and pei at least say they have two taxes which combined for fifteen percent

mine in maine is five, seven on snack food. yet new hampshire has none
so like the us. im sure canada differs

however canadians from the same areas say that yes, it takes forever to see a doctor about anything less than an emergency because of long lines due to free healthcare.

the canadians travel to my city because it is that much different to buy shit here.
and this is what they have told me. so yes it may differ but these are canadians words.

on a side note i heard u guys are getting rid of the penny?

The penny is ridiculous, good riddance to the penny.

Australia has a public and private health care system.
Everyone receives a Medicare card when they are 18 (up until 18 they are covered by their parent/guardian). This entitles you to something like 70% of the cost of your GP bills back. So, since everyone must pay the doctor upfront then claim your money afterwards, there is no waiting to get in. There are completely free clinics though, where you can walk in off the street with a Medicare card and if you wait in line all fucking day you can see a doctor for free. That's how I got my STI test done.
You must pay for private health care, but it comes with far more benefits. You are covered for dental, ambulance trips, chiropractors, physiotherapists, reading/seeing glasses, etc etc. Private health care generally gets you straight into hospital for elective surgeries. I had an operation where I needed general anesthetic and I was accepted in less than a week. My dad had to wait 6 weeks to have a cyst removed from his ear canal, but that was under the public health care system in a public hospital. I had a private hospital.
The only time you will wait is to see a specialist, which is unfortunate because if you need to see a specialist it means there is something wrong with you that a GP can't deal with.

The U.S, wants to get rid of the penny because the cost of making a penny is greater than the worth of it. But dumbasses want to keep the penny because of it's history, the meaning, etc.

if you visits NH you pass through Maine... most likely, come visit haha

but yes we were gonna lose the penny, but honestly. you'd have to restructure vending machines and registers and blah blah. can stop making them, then just wait for them to die out eventually.

but theyve actually redesigned them, so i dont see it happening.

didnt watch it but didnt surprise me, romney dodges answers and interrupts more than i can count
he only won the first because obama was taken back by the fact romney switched all his views just to seem great. anyone can bash the president, but now that obama has his feet under him and can react to the crowd. hes in his comfort zone again
