Get over it. People probably legitimately think the album is insanely good. Because it is. Don't always blame hype.

I've listened to this six or seven time in its entirety and one word sticks out. Legendary. It has all of the makings. I wonder if people were saying "lol, don't get caught up in the hype" when the original Chronic was released. No. When that was released people fucking knew. There wasn't arguing on an Internet forum and there was no if's, and's or but's about it. There are so many things about this album that make it nearly flawless.

Indeed :y:

It's nearly got enough quality to be called this generations Aquemini

please have a job in metacritic so we have a solid 5/5 critic :flutter:

I wish! I'll post my article here when it's published online. Only two other albums I've rated 5/5 since I got into reviewing were MBDTF and Channel Orange.

I still think channel Orange is album of the year.

GKMC runs t very close though.

channel Orange has the consistency GKMC does but has more amazing songs that can stand by themselves.

Yeah, I figured most people on this site will be slightly biased due to channel Orange not being Hip Hop.

I'm in the same boat, Crash. For right now, I have Channel Orange as the album of the year.

But this is three days old. That's going to change, I think.

Drake went harder than Kendrick on his own album and Backseat freestyle is not good at all! The rest is great, but calling this a classic already lol too far.

Too far?

You mean like saying Drake had a better verse than Kendrick? Drake was good for Drake.

drake didn't go that hard, if kendrick wasn't on poetic jsutice, the track would have sucked tbh :/
He made the coherence of the track, drake had to go far and kendrick had to keep that same style on poetic justice, rapping with another style would have murdered the song lol.

if ppl doesn't like individual songs, thats not a problem, album is a classic in the making as I'm sure it will be remember as the first or one of the first with that concept (couldn't find other album with a "film" which was extremely well done as gkmc :flutter: )
We're talking about an album, why do ppl talking about a "few" great individual songs in an album...
It's like saying " in this film, there are 2 great scenes, it means the film is a classic  "
It's a classic for some artists and a lot of ppl/critics, just need to wait and see what happens as I rly think that only time will tell us the thruth but let's not deny it, it's on a good way :smoking:

and plz don't say the hype is only big on this forum, I can give you 100 links with forum contenaing bigger Kdot's threads, the talking about a classic album is almost everywhere homies :8)
That's why I can't understand all the hate about that thing, no one said it was THE classic, ppl are massively saying it's "A" classic lol.

Eh, yeah? That's pretty much what everyone has been saying. Drake's verse was more interesting and overall better.

+1, and every drake's fan said it, not the rest lol.
don't think drake ruined it, but fortunately, there is kdot on the track or it would have been a forgettable track :'(

that's biased to say it =p
Most of ppl who said drake didn't renegade anything haven't listened to S80 or other kdot's songs...

Kdot didn't have a better individual verse, he made the song better, it's not rly the same thing.
Same thing for Drop the world, only Eminem's dickriders will say Eminem renegaded lil wayne but if you delete wayne's part, its not interesting at all to listen to eminem, even with a 4 min part on the same beat.

but it's cool to say it was or wasn't a classic, no one cares, the only important thing is to make our own opinion and know that a lot of ppl/artists/critics say it's a classic and only time will confirm it.
hate on it or not, it's not important :y:
Quote me on that, gkmc will be a modele and will be quoted a lot of time :shifty:

You are biased because you're a K.Dot stan though. I hate Drake and I love Kendrick but it's kinda obvious Drake took the track. It's HIS type of songs and you can feel he feels more comfortable on the track.

And no, everyone said Eminem's verse was the highlight on "Rebirth" so your statement is false brah.

I'm not a kdot's stan, I have a pic of him and what ? you have a pic of mgk, does it mean you are a stan ? ...

I have listened to 7 songs from S80, cba to lsiten to the rest, even if it's kdot.
I'm an Eminem's stan and a 50's stan, not a kendrick's stan.
I decided to support him as I rly believed he was going to drop a classic in the making and guess what ? so mmmmmany ppl and professionals think the same.

"And no, everyone said Eminem's verse was the highlight on "Rebirth" so your statement is false brah." we clearly ddin't read the same things.
If you only visit TRSHADY, ofc everyone said Eminem was the Highlight, but at the same time, Eminem was the biggest feature on the album, doesn't mean he renegaded lil wayne...

revolutionary "thx you proved you're a shit member coz you think eminem didn't renegade wayne on drop the worl" :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm
I should quote this one, it made my day

THANK YOU REVOLUTIONARY, like the other time, I'll have members saying I fucked some stans here... UL if only one or 2 said it here
