it's not the fact that he's stating his opinion. It's the fact that THIS GUY has the audacity to call something trash. Not liking it is one thing but this album is NOT trash in the slightest. I don't care how you feel about the music itself, but you have to respect Kendrick on this album for keeping real. That's more than I can ever say for Shyne.

If Kanye called the album trash (which he never would) then it would be much different because he actually has credibility but Shyne...that's like Wayne saying Eminem can't rhyme well when Wayne can't rhyme more than two syllables a line (and keep a constant rhyme scheme) to save his fucking life.

You should call Guinness about that horse. It's one of the highest I've seen. Credibility doesn't matter when it comes to opinion.

What accolades do you hold that makes your opinion on hip-hop more viable than his?

Quick story:
I was out having some drinks with friends one night and some random condescending scotch snob tells me the Glenlivet 12 that I bought, drank, and enjoyed is piss water and I don't know what real scotch is. So I asked him for a suggestion. He told me to try a Laphroaig. It was triple the price and tasted like drinking rubbing alcohol out of a wooden spoon and I went back to drinking my "piss water" because it's what I enjoy and pleases my senses.

Am I wrong for not liking the suggestion of a "self proclaimed expert" and countless reviews of the liquor? No. He has his opinion and I have mine. They just differ.

In a more relevant scenario, I think Yelawolf is terrible and sounds like what I imagine a squirrel would sound like if they had the evolved vocal chords to rap. Telling me my opinion is wrong and I lack credibility is incredibly pretentious.

Credibility only matters in fact based areas such as academics. When Shyne criticizes Neil deGrasse Tyson for his research on inter-universe travel then I can get on board that he has no credibility speaking on the matter.
