Game - Why You Hate The Game (9:22)

Awesome song. Great Game verses and an awesome Nas feature. The game is also that long because it showcases a gorgeous beat by Just Blaze. It really feels like a perfect way to end the album.

A recent song that's long as fuck is Kendrick's Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst (12:03). This one is good, but it's definitely a gimmick (it could have been 2 different songs, and there wouldn't have been a difference).

Post other examples of long hip-hop songs, and is there a reason why they are so long? Did they work, or would you have preferred a shorter version?

I know the one I have is 9:22, and I DL'ed the album the day it came out. The only reason I can't guarantee that it's originally that long is because I didn't store-buy the actual album. DL'ed it on limewire or whatever the hell was all the rage back then.
