biggest mistakes in hip hop history ?

Postby King Lance » Oct 28th, '12, 20:27

feel free to post some of the worst hip hop decisions :y:

-Signing to Shady Records (yelawolf failed but the man has potential imo, he had like 0 promo :X )
-Signing to Aftermath except if you are sure to become a famous artist (the label had like +40 artists and only a few albums in the industry are from Aftermath)
- that beef 50 cent vs Rick ross because Rick ross became popular which is a bad thing to me
- Soulja Boy rapping
- Signing SH (they sold too many copies even if they flopped :shifty: )
- some guys leaking hip hop albums a few weeks before an official release :confusion:
(some guys leaking bad songs which were supposed to stay in the bin  )
- working for Jimmy Iovine when your artist name is Eminem ( even if we can find good points tbh)

Lil Wayne ever considered being G.O.A.T. status
Nicki Minaj
Wiz Khalifa selling out
50 challenging Kanye to a sales battle

If Eminem is that big it's also thanks to Iovine. If he told Dre you ain't gon sign that white boy, we wouldn't have no Eminem right now.

Also, I repeat it, Eminem did a great choice by signing Slaughterhouse. It gave them more popularity, it's good for them. Their first album was amazing (not WTOH even if it has a few gems)

ontopic:

Kendrick Lamar being considered as a goat already, and expecting too much from him. it will only put him under pressure which will mean a short carreer or early flops. Which won't be good.

Eminem making Encore.

hmm, it's true but the man was called the king of the west coast several months before releasing GKMC, I think he's used to live with that kind of pressure :y:
He has to deal with it since the release of S80 imo

Lil B making music

Anybody Eminem has ever signed, they were all jokes and should of never made music

Young Money

Anything Jay-Z did before Kingdom Come (Best album in his discography)

Illmatic, i love nas but Illmatic was his worst project
