Best Multis

Postby CrashBand » Oct 31st, '12, 10:13

I know, I know, there's too many to choose. But what are his best multis?

Some of my favourites..

"Then I got up and ran to the janitor's storage booth
Kicked the door hinge loose and ripped out the four inch screws
Grabbed some sharp objects, brooms, and foreign tools
"This is for every time you took my orange juice"

-Brain Damage

A showcase of how creative he was at rhyming in his prime.

"I feel like I'm walkin' a tight rope without a circus net
Poppin' Percocet, I'm a nervous wreck
I deserve respect but I work a sweat for this worthless check
I'm about to burst this Tec at somebody to reverse this debt"
-Rock Bottom

Absolutely filled to the brim. But importantly, it's smooth and he doesn't sacrifice for rhyme.

"I translate when my voice is read through a seismograph
And a noise is bred, picked up and transmitted through Royce's head
Trap him in his room, possess him and hoist his bed
'til the evilness flows through his blood like poisonous lead
Told him each one of his boys is dead
I asked him to come to the dark side, he made a choice and said"

-Bad Meets Evil

Bad Meets Evil has slowly been crawling it's way up my favourite Eminem songs list. I absolutely love this rhyme scheme. Then you take into account his perfect delivery and flow, and just...wow.

"Entertainment is changing, intertwining with gangsters
In the land of the killers a sinner's mind is a sanctum"

-Sing For The Moment

You can pretty much pick any set of multis from this track.

Along the same lines..

pepsi and scotch/lesbians crotch/(pe)destrians watch.

And I've always loved that news stand/food stamp rhyme. Even though it's only two syllables.

"I'm your closest pal, the posterchild, the motherfuckin'
Spokesman now for..."

I think the rhyming he did there was dope.

This in particular is amazing.

I don't think anybody has matched or perfected his level of unique multi rhyming in his prime. Just, such a perfect combination of phrasing, tightness, rhyme...

As you said, he sacrifices nothing too; not only that but, it sounds as if the rhymes are too convenient, you don't even notice or, have to notice them happening, it's like he's just talking or sharing his thoughts and rhymes are happening to fall in to place, constantly.

This is what I like best about his old music. His rhymes sounded so natural that you don't even notice them at first.

"Slut, you think I won't choke no whore
'Til her vocal chords don't work in her throat no more?!"
"I guess this shit took an unexpected twist like the neck of the fricken Exorcist!"

I was listening to the Refill tracks, and the way he ends Music Box,melts in your ears really:

I'm your secret admirer, I'm back to ravish ya
So strong is your fight, but you're no match for Dracula
Prolonging her plight, as I go back to stabbin' her
Dismember her limbs, simple as that, cadaver her
Zoom in with the lens, then pan back, the camera
Stand back, cuz here comes your man Jack, so Pamela
The devil ain't on a level same as him!

The multis at the start of Lose Yourself had the funny ability to get 15 year olds to (sub-consciously) appreciate multis.

His palms are sweaty,
knees weak, arms are heavy
There's vomit on his sweater already: mom's spaghetti
He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready
To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgetting

Everyone seems to know and love rapping these multis.

Jesus how can shit be so easy,
How can one Chandra be so Levy,
Turn on these beats, emcee's don't see me
Believe me BET and MTV

Can't leave rap alone, the game needs me

I bumped TES the other day and I hadn't bumped Business in a LONG time at the time, and I was amazed at how good it was. Completely forgot about the track lol. The beat, the flow, voice, delivery, multies, content, hook... I love it all.

Because of this thread, I bumped TES just now and I smiled.

My laser disc'll make you take a razor to your wrist
Make you satanistic, make you take the pistol to your face
And place the clip and cock it back
And let it go until your brains are rippin' out
Your skull so bad to sew you back would be a waste of stitches

Sometimes I just feel like, quittin I still might
Why do I put up this fight, why do I still write
Sometimes it's hard enough just dealin with real life
Sometimes I wanna jump on stage and just kill mics
And show these people what my level of skill's like
But I'm still white, sometimes I just hate life
Somethin ain't right, hit the brake lights
Case of the stage fright, drawin a blank like

In terms of long multies my favorites are:

My mother did drugs, hard liquor, cigarettes and speed
The baby came out, disfigured ligaments indeed

It's twelve noon, ain't no harm in self inducing a snooze
What else is new, fuck it what would Elvis do in your shoes

Somewhere deep down, there's a decent human being in me
It just can't be found, so the reason you've been seeing this me
Is cause this is me now, the recent dude who's being this mean

Guilty pleasure:

Carmen Electra cuter
Arm and electrocute her
