Not really. He's a lyrical poet that debuted on MySpace back in 2007. He posted the song (the one in the OP) on his page and got a ton of buzz.

People call him the greatest, even tho he hasn't dropped an album.

I wouldn't say Jay Elec is a miracle, spiritual, lyrical rapper. He's more of a poet...you need to read between the lines to get the message.
