I don't think he intentionally went without saying "fucking" for 6 minutes. The joke was that the 6 minutes he promised he wouldn't swear for are the six minutes he has until he goes on stage (hence the "six minutes, Slim Shady, you're on"). That's the end of the joke as far I'm concerned.

This is literally the only thing you said worth noting, the rest was just a a bunch of meaningless shit. In an uncreative and unclever example can be as creative and clever as that line then that line is also uncreative and unclever.

Lol. A bunch of meaningless shit.

How you couldn't make a good case for it being unintentional?

Or how you ignored the fact that you were therefore clutching at straws to try and bring the line down?

Or how there obviously is a difference if he intentionally didn't say the word?

In an uncreative and unclever example can be as creative and clever as that line then that line is also uncreative and unclever.

This is such flawed logic. Therefore Copywrite is as "uncreative and unclever" as Lil Wayne. Because some of Lil Wayne's premises for punchlines could have been executed well and made better by a good punchline rapper.

I'm not sure if you're trolling or just in denial that it isn't a good line. I suppose you do think puns/double entendres are the be all and end all of rapz!

Let's take your example then. You rely on M-16s like D-12 does.
Wow a double meaning. This isn't an original formula.

All lines like this are set up this way.

"I'm gonna blow on it before I put it in--like a nintendo cartridge."

And what if someone botches this formula up? "Thereforez all of these lines are uncleverz!"

Class, I'm happy to agree to disagree.

I think it's a clever, original line and have stated why. You aren't impressed by the line.

We'll just keep going in circles really.

I recognized that it was ionic

But the tone line was an ironic joke as well...so how is it "great" and the other one isn't?

Because he said, you want me to tone it down, and then said suck my fucking dick you faggot with a lower tone, obviously not the tone they were talking about though. That's clever.

All that line is, is taking a common phrase ("to make the headlines") literally.

Here's the formula:

You couldn't [common phrase associated with doing something impressive] if you [literal interpretation of that common phrase]

Yeah but in some cases they work perfectly. I call them "god punchlines" as if the double meanings worked so well that when god made them he intended on them being used as punchlines. :shifty:

NOOOOO because Copy executed the punchline much better and that's what makes it more clever lmao come on.

I'm not sure if you're trolling or just in denial that it isn't a good line. I suppose you do think puns/double entendres are the be all and end all of rapz!

See, this is what you would call a straw man.

Let's take your example then. You rely on M-16s like D-12 does.

Yes, because all punchlines are the same :facepalm

So the tone/tone double entendre is what makes the line great?

To me, the two lines are pretty much the same. Irony executed in the exact same way. He has a similar one in Who Knew. "I don't got that bad of a mouth, do I?"

Yes. The irony + creative wordplay and making the wordplay tie in with the irony is better than a line with just the irony.

How can you say an ironic Eminem line that is executed well is "as unclever as other examples that aren't executed well".

And then say because Copywrite executed a line. That's what makes it clever.

It was ludicrous reasoning to try and discredit the line.

Theses two lines are set up exactly the same way. It wasn't an original formula.

But anyway, I'm happy to agree to disagree.
If you aren't impressed with prime-em irony--and are more impressed with wordplay.

Unless you wanted to post up a really good case on why it's not a good line. Or perhaps why well-executed irony is not clever.

Correct me if I'm wrong then.

But I thought they were the exact same formula.

Am I missing something from one of them.
