Kill You wrote:No. Did you even listen to the song after the "rear rear rear" part? Obviously not because his verse is good after that.

You keep saying this, yet you haven't even explained why.

Every great artist releases a bad song or verse in hip-hop terms, there's no way Eminem's career would end and his fans would all abandon him because of one 30 second long verse on a Rihanna song.
But what am I gonna do when the rage is gone and the lights go out in that trailer park?

Okay. First things first. Entertainment. It was a "funny" verse and that's what a lot of people wanted him to go back to. Rhyming. He still manages to rhyme better than most of your favorite rappers while not saying much of anything. Flow/voice. Were fucking great. Lyrics. Not as bad as you all make it out to be...people wanted him to be more descriptive and specific and that's what he's doing. If you'd actually sit down and read the verse it's not a bad one. Not necessarily great but it's not terrible. It's really not so different from what he used to rap about...I really think that every Eminem fan just doesn't know what they REALLY want him to do. First they want Shady, they hate on Relapse. Then they want emotionalzzzzzz, they hate on Recovery. They wanted hardcore raps and hated on Hell: The Sequel. What the fuck do you guys really want? Dude should just quit with how shitty his fans are, he doesn't owe us shit and yet he still puts out music for ungrateful fans.

I bet you think his Here Comes The Weekend verse was bad too...which it most certainly isn't.

Your turn. Explain to me why it ISN'T.

Eh, not really. What's so "funny" or entertaining about Em saying:

"But the odds are I'mma end up in the back of a squad car
By the end of tonight, I'm a rock star
Get your wind up, it's attack of the Oddball
Homie can you show me where the gosh darn bath salts are
Cause I'm sick of sniffing asphalt
Every thought scarred got my pants off at the crosswalk
In suspenders, and I can't feel my lips cause"

I see how a 12 year old might find it funny. Seems like a generic ending to a terrible verse (inb4itwasacollab!!!).

Explain to me how the flow is "great." It's just an average flow, nothing really special about it. I'm pretty sure most of today's rappers use or have used a similar flow.

I guess the rhyming is great, but I'm not really a big fan on the multeezzz. And what do you mean by "not saying much of anything"? Em seems to be saying a lot; how he's a rock star, he's an oddball, he wants his homie to show him where the gosh darn bath salts are, and he's sick of sniffing asphalt.

Am I missing something here?

They want good music.

Eh, I enjoyed it. Certainly better than this trashy verse.

So in other words, you can't explain why it's a terrible verse. Oh look, a Recovery punchline.

Numb is the byproduct of digestion and the food we eat, in other words it's SHIT! Though, it's like a 25 second verse lol. Not career ending.

Menzo wrote:I am right because you're always wrong, but that's besides the point. Your rebuttal was putrid with regards to how you evaluate the argument proposing the pros of the song, aside from you not finding it funny because that's the only subjective value. The only thing you do concede positively, you quickly retract with how it's unimportant or rather how you're "not a fan" of that (lol, REALLY?) thus nullifying any potential plus points for the pros side just to make your reasoning look a little more feasible.

Which didn't work.

First off...quit trying to sound smart. I remember you used "irregardless" once, but that's besides the point

Make a thread with a poll asking if they found the song funny. The majority will say no. Therefore, it's no longer my personal opinion.

It's an Eminem verse, WE ALL KNOW he can rhyme great, so that should really be the last thing you're judging for. I might judge the rhyming ability of other artists, but if it comes down to Eminem, then I just say "whatever" and let the opposition have that argument.

It's such a cowardly way to defend Em, "Oh hey, Em was on that ________ track and was absolutely average! WAIT, his rhyming was GREAT, therefore he had the best verse!!!"
