Do you take what you want?

Postby Block » Nov 21st, '12, 00:07

It's motivation time, bitches.

How many of us actually take what we want from life? This may sound cliché, but reason with me here. I see so many people (myself included in the past) who believe that they're happy simply because society tells them that they should be. Or because they're living the only life they've ever known to exist. Not reclusive, but still seeing others around them and--even for a split second--wishing they were that person. Whether it be somebody shy, overweight, anxiety problems, whatever the deal. Are these people really taking everything that life has to offer? Are you? So many people believe they don't 'deserve' any more than they have, but why not? Everything is within reach if you try hard enough. Settling for less = lazy. Lazy people get nothing out of life. So are we really happy with settling for what's in front of us and missing numerous opportunities, simply because we didn't believe in ourselves enough, or lacked the confidence necessary to compete? Again I'll ask: how many of us actually take what we want?
That girl you like has a boyfriend. Are they married? No? Get your ass in there and show her that you're the alpha. You're better than him. Even if you aren't; you are if you're confident. Chances are, he's probably shocked he's with her.
You want that job but don't feel qualified? Study that shit. Stop making reasons for failure. Create solutions. This applies to all aspects of life. Stop not having the life you want, losers.

I'm such a fucking winner. Not. But in all seriousness there is plenty of wisdom behind your words. But it's not so black and white as "you either take it or you don't." There are many reasons why people can't excel, it doesn't HAVE to be because they're lazy. You can work hard all your life and still not get shit out of it.

This is true, BUT if you're working for nothing and haven't noticed it yet, you either deserve to die with nothing because you're an idiot, or you simply didn't raise the bar for yourself as high as it could have been.

Dont get me wrong, this isn't saying go try to br rich or famous. More saying: live the life YOU want.

Everyone needs that push, that motivation, that drive to live up to your own expectations.

No. you misconstrue what's being said. It means don't wish you were somebody else and admire them. fix those problems in yourself and be that type of person that you admire. Not actually take someone's identity lol

Yeah, I suppose I get what you're saying a little better now. I can agree with that. Everyone should inspire to be whatever they want. If you want to be a rapper, you should be a rapper and keep working at it. If you wanna make video games then you should do it.

People who want to live and expect to keep getting something out of nothing do deserve to die, though. Theoretically anyone can make it out of whatever "situation" they may be in no matter how bad it is. It's up to the person and how much will they have to see if the situation gets any better or not.

I guess I should have known the real meaning, pardon me.

You mean like fixing your life goals, and incorporating that to make a desired image of youself, admiring that each day in front of the mirror and strive with every breath to get to that status?

If that's what you mean then I must say that very few of us actually reach the Self - actualization stage and become who we wanna be. We end up accepting less, compromise. You really don't know what the future would bring, basing your goals on the sky instead of solid ground can prove futile and disappointing for some. Ask me, I left home at the age of 15 to do something different. Even though I've achieved that goal to an extent; I tend to ask myself: What's the crowning price? I was almost on the verse of giving up hadn't my social factors held me tight.

There are lot of Micro-Macro factors that wont let you go ahead. With the correct deternmination, you can.

Well, it depends what you want out of life. It doesn't have to be grand and lavish. It can simply be, "I want this girl." Rather than being shy and awkward, make a move. You know? Obviously everyone has limits. But most people never even come close to their full potential, let alone exceeding their limits. They don't give themselves enough credit.

I'm lazy and feel concerned. Hopsin already yelled at me in his last video, and now you're doing this. I feel like I really should do something. I mean I go to uni and practice a sport, but I'm still passive most of the time.

Ugh.

I hate people who say: "He's doing it, why should I bother?" He doesn't understand that he's doing it and will move ahead in the race of life. Do what you can and you can really be something close to your "ideal-person"; 50%, at least. People resting their goals on other are putting themselves in a big psychological jeopardy.
