Let's discuss 808s & Heartbreak. Honestly, my favorite solo album released by Kanye. The lyricism is on point and the emotion oh lordy the emotion is off the roof. I HAVE to listen to this album every twice a week during the winter season because it just sets the mood right. You don't even have to be going through a break-up...you can literally pick this album up while you're in a happy relationship and STILL be deeply affected by it. One of the best experimental albums of the last decade, no doubt.

yeah, Heartless used to be in the place of Say You Will, but I've been playing SYW so much that it got stuck in my head haha.

I'd take this and Graduation over MBDTF any day. I don't know why, but I really can't get into MBDTF like you guys seem to.

It has great beats, the songs are great, but I never replay them except like Blame Game and Dark Fantasy. I don't know.. I'll make a thread about Graduation one day.

Problem with Kanye, really the only one, has other artists ruin songs. Amazing and See You In My Knightmares are both examples of this. There are a lot more examples on MBTDF but that's another argument. I do like this album and it does have a winter-y vibe like the OP said. Wish there was a CDQ of Pinocchio story.
