Too many sounds overlapping is just noise, not a beat.

I never said it has to be crazy simple, but more often than not they're more enjoyable. What would you rather listen to, musically..Our House (Slaughterhouse) or NIP (Kanye / Jay) ? Easily NIP because that beat is so awesome. Why is it awesome? Because it's clear, concise, and sounds cool. Our House has like a million sounds and clashes and it's annoying as hell. It even drowns out the vocals.

Simpler is better a lot of the time

'Our House' beat is all over the place.. beats on MBDTF are perfectly crafted,not overproduced.. Unless your state-of-mind is that anything with more than 2 elements is overproduced.
