Words have meanings. Which can be offensive.

If I call you an idiot. (not being agressive) You may take offense. Simply because of the meaning.

Okay, let's say, hypothetically, I called bigray an idiot and I meant it.

I think it's a pretty reasonable inference to say he would be offended.

It is easy to understand why he would get offended/his feeling being hurt.

The same way if I called a gay person a faggot as an insult.

The difference between the two is one is justified (to call someone who is being an idiot an idiot).
And one is not. (calling someone faggot or nigger, as an insult, just because they are gay or black).

Now people turn around and say that n!gga and faggot have different meanings now. But it still stemmed from racism/homophobia and is still used as racism/homophobia.

So I don't like people using it really.
